Craftsman level / Asst. Lab Manager
The primary functions and responsibilities of the Sr. Calib=
ration
Technician (Journeyman Level) are as follows:
·
Calibrate, repair, and maintain testing
equipment used in a wide variety of industrial and military applications. T=
his
equipment includes AC/DC, RF Microwave, Impedance, Light wave, and physical
dimensional.
·
Uses theories of operation, block diagrams,
schematics, pictorial drawings, logic trees, and software diagnostics.
·
Analyzes complex and usual maintenance probl=
ems.
·
Traces circuits and isolated malfunctions in=
the
testing equipment.
·
Performs preventative maintenance, cleanline=
ss
and safety requirements.
·
Performs equipment maintenance using hand to=
ols,
special tools, high reliability soldering techniques and technical data.
·
Overhauls and modifies assemblies and
subassemblies.
·
Ensures equipment operational accuracy by
performing laboratory and on-site calibrations.
·
Uses laboratory working standards, reference
standards to certify equipment accuracy and can align/adjust testing equipm=
ent
to listed technical specifications.
·
Certifies equipment accuracy to technical da=
ta
specifications.
·
Prepares and uses calibration correction cha=
rts.
Records data from equipment and testing ensuring the proper data is recorde=
d in
the lab database.
·
Manages databases for automated record manag=
ement
system. Records testing data and properly attaches data to equipment
certifications or other documentation.
·
Evaluates and develops calibration and
maintenance procedures, technical data verification, and operational test a=
nd
evaluation of new equipment.
·
Records testing data and properly attaches d=

Helps to evaluate and develop calib=

and maintenance procedures, technical data verification, and operational te=

Resolves logistical issues with the handling=

shipment of equipment.

Resolves calibration process/production
problems.

Maintains equipment, tools, parts, and suppl=

Analyzes and interprets trends. Recommends corrective actions. Provides technical and training
assistance to lab manager.

Assists in the planning of workload, budgeti=

support agreements, special reports, environmental concerns, and equipment

Metrology at or military classroom training equivalent. A Bachelor’s Degree or work =

in a related Technical or Business discipline is a preferred. Structured courses in Program Mana=

are also preferred, for leading customer-facing initiatives and internal
expansion initiatives.

Seven or more years of technical experience, with at least five of those ye=
ars
in a lab environment. Show pr=
ogressive
growth of responsibility, technical, and business results.
